American Workers and Vacation Time – Could Your Job Be Causing Early Ejaculation?

A recent survey has been making headlines with business experts and self-help gurus. A 2014 study found that American workers only take about half of their paid time leave with vacations or sick leave, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. The study surveyed more than 2,000 employees asking them about their vacation time and habits and its findings have become an issue that business analysts and health professionals are taking seriously.

How Hard We Work

Vacation TimeWhile Americans may have a reputation for loving the good life and being a bit indulgent, the fact of the matter is we work hard for it. A study conducted by Harris Interactive, a well-respected research firm, contacted 2,300 workers who were eligible and received paid vacation through their employer. Participants were asked a number of questions about their vacation time including how much they received, how often they used it and how much contact they had with their work while on vacation. While most people would expect workers to report some lost time or being in contact with work, the results shocked many and made headlines around the world. Some of the more surprising results included:

  • Employees use just over half of their vacation time. On average, people reported using about 51% of the time paid off they were eligible for.
  • 61% of respondents confirmed they did work even while on vacation. One in four employees said they were contacted by a co-worker of colleague about a work related item while 1 in 5 reported being contacted directly by their boss.
  • One-third of the respondents who reported bringing a portable device such as a tablet computer or laptop said they did so with the specific intention of working or checking-in with work while on vacation.

Most people know what it’s like to have to work through part of a vacation, but the results of this poll have driven home the severity of the problem. Medical experts also point out that it could offer some insight into why people are so stressed, worn down, burnt-out and unhealthy.

Stress directly affects your health in a number of ways. Stress can cause anxiety and has been connected to worsening chronic conditions such as obesity, high blood pressure and cardiovascular problems. What’s more, stress is generally considered to be one of the cost effective ways to make any problem wore. Whether you have a simple headache or advanced cancer – too much stress can make a bad situation worse. People have a number of ways of working stress off, but taking time away to relax, unwind and recharge is generally considered to be the most effective and rewarding method of dealing with it.

Since early ejaculation can be caused by a number of different factors, it can take a long time to understand what’s setting it off and men don’t always think of their work as being a major stressor, especially if they do something they love. But even working in a field where you are rewarded well financially and personally, taking time off is essential.

Stress is a powerful force and is often at the root of early ejaculation. While dealing with stress daily is important, this survey shows how important it can be to take some more substantial time off on a regular basis. Leaving vacation time on the table does workers no favors either. In a separate study researchers found those who left vacation time behind were actually less likely to receive a raise than those who took all their time. These studies have driven home the importance of taking time away in order to keep yourself healthy and even your career on track. For men coping with early ejaculation, this report could be the key to finally unlocking the underlying problem.
